Agnès LECONTE got a pHD in 1999 and joined the company in the beginning of 2000. Her main focus consist in chimerizing antibodies by different system such baculovirus. Agnès Leconte is in charge of the development of new molecules expressed by baculovirus and animal cells. She actually is working on the scaling up of the production of different chimerized antibodies. |

With extensive in-house expertise and a range of modern culture systems, MAbgène is able to undertake a range of projects from the production of small quantities of antibodies to bulk for manufacturing according GLP rules and GMP requirements. Technology options range from static culture flasks to stirred vessels and to hollow fibres bioreactors.Utilising its extensive knowledge in this field, MAbgène is able to offer contract recombinant protein production either from a client’s own cell line or through a development programme direct from a gene. MABGENE has contractual agreements with different public research centers such as: CLRC-INSERM MONTPELLIER : for the development of a conjugate to be used in vivo for the detection of cancer; PASTEUR INSTITUT Paris : to develop a system using camelide antibodies; Unité mixte CNRS-INRA de St-Christol-les-Ales (baculovirus). MAbgène has already produced chimeric antibodies through different systems using animal cells technologies. These chimeric antibodies such as IgG1 (complete or Fab), IgG4 and IgE are produced and purified in our pilot laboratory. These antibodies are assigned either in vitro diagnostic use or therapeutic design project. Actually, MAbgène develop two chimeric antibodies for therapeutic project for two customers in domain such as cancer or HIV disease. Encouraging results in term of antibody in vitro activity, lead us to follow up the development of these recombinant antibodies. |

Personnel involved in studies related to PROTHET's: Julien DI VITA got a technician degree in biotechnology area. He joined the company in 2001 to work on pilot fermentor from 15 liters up to 300 liters. He worked on different systems to produce recombinant protein on perfusion system. Christelle FIÉTER got a master in Biology before joining the company in 1999. Christelle has in charge the production of different antibodies at pilot scale and is also implied in the optimisation of the production of different recombinant monoclonal antibodies |
